Here is the story. I dropped my lens and even though it is working great at f.3.5 and up the lower numbers seem out of focus to me. I thought I would try and sell the lens here to see if anyone wanted to take the deal and send it into Canon for repair. Asking $400.00

Can you post photos of it? Just want to see the extent of the damage. And, out of curiosity, have you ever received a quote on how much it might cost to repair? Definitely interested...

No I have not got any quotes as of yet. I am looking to sell all my gear at this point but, in taking photos again there are focus issues at 1.4 testing at 3.5 and up the lens is just fine.

Understood. Would you be able to get photos of the unit itself? trying to see if I can send those over to my local canon service center to see if they can at least provide a rough estimate.

Hi Adrian, I will take some photo's of the lens today. Looking at the lens you would never knew it was dropped not a mark on it with one exception, the piece of clear plastic that covers the f. stop along the fell off during the fall otherwise it looks brand new. I will get some photo's up.
