Beautiful. :)

Thank you David! Crazy light that morning. The sun is just barely peeking camera right. I have another image of the same scene without the SR app which I will post tonight. I may actually prefer it over this one.

yes it does...I fly out to Houston tomorrow...really wanted to have this filter...

If I had it to do all over again, I would go the Firecrest line...they are more neutral...but they were not even around when I started buying ND filters etc...

that is putting it very nicely...

B&H is going to replace it...just not in time for this trip.

I've been very pleased with my Firecrest kit. Now that spring is here I'm hoping to get more use out of them.

Enjoy Houston. Awesome city but be ready to spend an hour in traffic.

looking for a very "flare friendly lens..

any recommendation?

heard some good thing about the pentax super takumar 28mm ..anyone have experience with?

i have a 28mm in pentax mount, its my favourite manual lens for my m43 cams, cant say its better or worse for flare than other lenses but its sharp and easy to focus, i dont particulary like the focal length on the sony but i do like it on the m43

i hope Sony will be like Canon. When Canon upgrades, it's always the same price as the predecessor when it came out.

Not in Sony world, they keep raising the bar.

if it's really impressive with a joystick, two card slots, writes a million times faster. 200% faster AF even in -5 stop.... new menu system.... same price when the RII came out or a max of 200 more, my A7RII+2470GM will become a collateral damage

it keeps rising on the rx100. the mk4&5 is ridiculously priced

Yeah, i was surprised as i was not informed about rx100 prices. I suggested them to a friend who wanted a small good point and shoot. He came back telling me no way hes gonna spend over 600$ for a point and shoot. I was quite confused as i thought a Mk 3 or 4 would be a under 500$

I've already sold all my Canon Gear... Ready to make the switch however trying to be patient as my experience working in the industry that once the price of a camera drops that generally means something is coming. I hope it comes soon!

Sky looked completely red, but the view with the ultra ultra wide 10 gave a much different look.

Very cool view though! Outstanding shot

Love that single sailboat in the picture. I bet with a 10mm lens it was a lot nearer than it looks like on the picture!

A few shots from next to the mirror house in (Doug Aitkens Mirage) in Palm Springs. Shot with the Canon 17-40L while trying to work a reflector at the same time. We were really hoping to get there early on a workday to "beat the crowd". We didn't realize it didn't even open until three thirty and was already packed when we got back there. Oh well, the location itself is great so we decided to grab some traditional portraits, without a giant shiny house in the background.

The skin tones seem a bit too yellow on my screen. Is it just me?

Otherwise, i really like the looks you achieve in your pictures!

Thanks. The skin was very yellow to start. I had to go back to "the numbers" when trying to correct the skin because it's tough to get it right when they are surrounded by yellow and yellow/green. It didn't help that I was using a silver reflector to shine golden hour light back at them either. Their skin started out orange. -?;-)a But yeah, It's as close to "normal" as I could get it given the circumstances. The shot with all three having been especially interesting with two purple dresses giving all three of them a sort of alien skin tone. :-)

looks like a tough situation for the skins with the sun very heavily backlit. You did well with the reflector, figure you were using a flash. The rocks blend in very nice, almost didnt notice them, looks like great fun. Hope to go to the flower fields in carlsbad this year and get some nice shots. Blue reflector instead? :-D
