One of the regulars posted a wonderful photo of an eagle landing with its shadow cast on the ice sheet below and I mistakenly took the post to be a “post your bird shadows” thread.

A couple of folks suggested we start a new thread on this topic so here it is, the official, bone fide “Post your birds with their shadows and reflections” thread.

I’ll kick it off with a Cormorant touching down on the beach and look forward to contributions from other Forum members.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

Great thread!

Here's a trippy one. Very Escheresque. Black turnstones in flight at the Oregon Coast.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

How about this one! Avocet at Don Edwards NWR in the Bay Area, CA.

You care barely see the shadow on the water!
