Short answer no. Long answer the loxia and voigtlander have amazing sun stars. The loxia, voigtlander and batis lenses are all amazing and really sharp. I have done a side by side with the loxia 21 and batis 25 and genuinely can't tell the difference. I see a lot of people writing that they like the rendering of the loxia lenses but pixel peeping with the batis equivalents I just don't see the difference. The loxia is smaller and has better sun stars and that has pretty much been the deciding factor for me. Plus the 21 allows me to replace two lenses and re-use the money for other lenses. Before the loxia the batis lenses were my favourite lenses ever even including sigma art and canon L but now the loxia and voigtlander are my firm faves

Thanks Eddie, really appreciate your appraisal. I am quite happy with my 18mm and 25mm for the moment, so I think I'll stick with them and spend more time dreaming about the 1.4 primes. :p

Thanks Alfredo. I have another shot of Poppies I really like but I missed focus a bit and focus is not on the flowers closest to the lens...

Here's a different kind of photo from a few days ago.

A California Scrub Jay overlooking his domain from atop a nearby tree. shot using my Sony a6300 + Canon 100-400L lens.

Cool shot! My OCD self wants clean up that dark smudge in the sky next the breast/neck even if there is a perfectly natural reason for it to be there.

Thanks David, I've fixed it. I hadn't realized when I darkened the breast a bit, there was some spill over. I got lazy and didn't bother to mask the first time and with my eyesight, I should have known better.

Having limited mobility, no young kids, and no pets, I find coming up with photographic subjects quite challenging – so my acquisition of a long FL lens, in this case a Sigma 150-600mm C, has added another, welcome, string to the bow. In terms of an inexpensive long zoom, I reckon it's decent value for money when paired with the MC-11.

Thanks, Gene.

AF is very fast with my 6D, and a bit less so with the a7rii and MC-11. It's accurate though, and quick enough for my purposes, so all's good.

Good luck with the Oly, looks like a nice piece of kit.

I like poppies... Where I'm from there were huge fields as far as your eyes could see of red poppies...
