Went by bestbuy and they had one open box for $1295 I was so damn tempted to get it but owning the a7ii I don't think it would have been the right choice.

Based on the camera gear you already own in your signature, I would say you aren't wrong. I bought the a6500 for the size, focus speed, buffer, and IBIS. I shoot Canon for my sports images but really enjoy the Sony for when I'm out doing "photo walks". The size and image quality are a perfect match for me. You already own the a6000 and two full frame camera so I would say you are covered.

yeah , agree with tmalone.. expecially with type of photo you do inv.
.. I mean if you just want it then hey why not .. but I don't think it would add much if any advantage.. again given the type of photography you do..

I wish these cameras had a built in ND given the 1/4000th max SS. I'd also love a fully articulating LCD.

At my daughters track meet the other day. Took the ݛ6500\E50 1.8 for a few snaps. Am loving the small size of this set up. I have always been self conscious when out and about with a large DSLR. On this occasion I was standing next to another parent with a larger Nikon DSLR/zoom lens (crop body, but significantly larger than my set up). Several people made comments to the gut about "wow, big camera, etc". No one said a word to me with my inconspicuous little Sony rig. LOVE IT!

Great AF on this thing! Definitely still working out the kinks regarding exposure, skin tones, and processing of these files in general. Looking forward to spring colors!

I haven't been to impressed with eye focus on the Sony but should have tried it on this one. Kinda bummed that the camera grabbed the glasses.

I'm surprised you don't like the eye focus. I've found it to be awesome. So many times with my Canon I thought I had the eye and it grabbed the nose.

I need work the 'eye focus' into my flow. It certainly has it's place. think I was under the impression it was magic and that has not been the case. For me it doesn't work more than 10 feet or so away. Worked a lot better in Gary Fong's vid. It often grabs the wrong eye which annoys me. Admittedly I'm very out of practice and defiantly still getting into the groove with Sony.

Maiden voyage with the camper out to the SW Idaho desert for a night. This sunset didn't materialize like I thought it might but oh well. We had a good time.
