I currently have the 85 1.8 and have considered picking up the 1.2 for times when focus speed isn't a premium but image feel is. So, let say you shoot an image at 2.0 from both lenses - same location, same light same everything. Will the images look exactly the same or different?

I think I know the answer but looking for verification.

I agree with what Brules said above. The 85 1.2 will have a much more pleasing bokeh (smoother), color, contrast, and sharpness (at higher apertures) than the 1.8.
