I never owned or used any TC with my lenses. Not a big fan of them You should try the 1.4xIII mounted to the 200/2.... It's really really good. IanD wrote in post #18289110 Thanks for the suggestions folks. There are 2 bags I'm looking at, the Kineses and another bag that is "custom" made. Neither are available up here in Canada so a little cross boarder shopping trip in in the plans shortly. Cheers. welshwizard1971 wrote in post #18304368 Yup, capacitor. I'm still waiting to see some definitive opinions on the performance of the G2 with the NEW teleconverters. I'm also wondering what people feel about the 1.4 vs 2x?

OK, so this is a pretty basic/stupid question, but I figured I'd ask here as you seem to know how to do action shots! Canon 6D; Canon 135mm f2; Sigma 85mm f1.4 EX; Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro; Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX; Canon 70-200 f4.0 IS; Tamron 24-70 f2.8; Canon 17-40mm f4; Speedlite 430EXII.

Mar 22, 2017 17:59 | #54 well all depends on the speed of the action. 1/500 is a little slower and you may get motion blur because of that if its really fast action. I try to be around 1/1000. The 7D should have no problems keeping up with high speed action. Shooting in AI servo and keeping that shutter speed up high. Also the longer the lens the faster the shutter speed you will need to freeze the action. You could get away with a slower shutter speed with something like a 50mm because they are not crossing through the frame as fast. but shooting at a 400mm lets say you will need much faster because of how tight the framing is and how fast the object passes through the frame.
