Thanks Paul, it was certainly a whirlwind. Lots of car time, but worth it - my first trip to Southern Utah and Northern AZ. Won't be my last!

Thanks! I want to go back and do the place right someday, maybe take 2-3 weeks and really 'do' all 5 parks. This trip was calculated to squeeze in as much as I could in a long weekend, but I would have definitely enjoyed more time in each.

Great shots! Looks like a great trip. I did that same trip coming back from racing the Leadville 100mtb, sadly not a lot of pics were taken, I could hardly walk :)

You got some fabulous captures. There was so much competition for that one spot on horseshoe when I was there. You were so close to antelope canyon btw did you get there too?

Thanks, and same for me on this day - in fact, there was one lady who wouldn't get off that rock on the right no matter how many sideways glances I made; I had to clone her leg out of the shot.

I thought long and hard about antelope canyon, but in the end I opted to save that one for later. For one thing, it wasn't yet the right time of year (no light beams). For another, I left Zion that morning about 3 AM to get to Bryce for sunrise, left Bryce by probably about noon, then hit the Horseshoe - and still had to make my way around to the south rim by that afternoon. I was shooting for a sunset and a sunrise at the GC, and wasn't sure I'd make it.

I'm impressed you could do any siteseeing at all, that's got to be unbelievably brutal. I ran the Big Sur marathon about 10 years (and 40 pounds) ago, and it was all I could do to stagger back to the hotel.
