Its a nice solid lens,on my copy the focus and zoom ring are a tad stiff but should loosen up after some use.

Now I just have to find its sweet spot and get some decent weather to test it out well.

I am sure its a keeper.

So far I've only been taking selfies and shooting stuff on my desk. Zoom ring is a bit stiff, my focus ring seems a bit loose. I was thinking there would be more distortion, a in tune with a fisheye, but it's pretty decent. On the 1dmkiii being a 1.3 crop I get circle vignetting at 12mm, so I shot at 13-14 and it's gone.

Why is it I always see these great deals after someone posts "just got this super sweet deal delivered today!" but never when they are actually live!?!?!

Grrrr

Shot at 18mm f/7.1, some mist falling at the time so not the best conditions for great shots.
But before shrinking down it was nice and sharp..Gonna be fun on a brighter day.

No post processing done at all straight from the camera jpeg.

I will be taking mine along for a wedding tomorrow. My plan is to use it during getting ready, get a feel for it's AF accuracy, and then maybe use it for the family formals; since I usually shoot those at f4-5.6 range anyways.

A few things I've learned while playing with it around the house this week. Even though it's meant for APS-C, FF is vignette free from 18mm-28mm, which makes this a very useful addition to my bag for $200. 2nd, it focuses very close and WILL take the EF 12II extension tube, but I only could only do it with manual focus. And being such a short FL, you have to be VERY close....but I think it's really close to 1:1, if not over. Problem will be getting enough light in between the lens and the subject.

Here's a shot of one of my fuzzies, 19mm kitty

Oh, and the price has been all over the place. Two days ago it was $280, right now it's showing $300.
