Picked one up for my nex5r before Xmas and find it brilliant, I would have liked to get a wider focal length with the crop factor but still its tact sharp and fast focusing.so no complaints here.

Man, too bad this thing doesn't cover a FF sensor! Beautiful images in here everyone, I'd love to save $600+ on getting one of these over the Zeiss 55mm

Forgot all about this thread. Here are a couple pics. I find it to be really sharp and I love the shallow DOF.

I'm downsizing. Coming from a simple 5D3, 35mm,85mm set up I'm trying to figure out what an equivalent higher quality Sony aXXXX set up would be (looking to stay in the E mount, not go FE mount) . I like what I see from this lens on Flickr. Not a lot of action in this thread. Is it that not many people on this forum are using this set up and lens? Is there another forum I should be looking to read some discussions about this lens? Anyone care to chime in with general impression of this lens? Thanks

It's a great lens (IMO). Don't know why there isn't more action in this thread especially give how affordable this lens is. As far as other forums goes there is DPReview ,https://www.dpreview.com/forums/1042 (external link), if you like forums where almost everybody endlessly complains about every aspect of Sony cameras and tells you what's wrong with all their products and what they'd do differently if they ran Sony the right way since obviously Sony doesn't have a clue. Oh, and the rest of the threads are about the rumors of the next release of whatever camera they're currently complaining about.

I'm exaggerating of course but it sure seems that way most of the time.

Haha! Yeah, your right about forums! I somewhat liken this lens to the canon ef 85 1.8. Very similar in price with seemingly fine IQ. Of course this lens would only be 75mm FF equivalent. Too bad it isn't just a bit linger. Regardless, I think I'll be giving it a try. Thanks.

Keep the sample coming please!!

I was enjoying this lens, but I put it on the a6000 the other day and it made a horrible clicking sound on startup, and now will not focus on anything, auto or manual. Any thoughts? Hasn't been dropped or anything, so I'm pretty bummed. Also out of warranty.

Clearly not many folks on POTN using this lens. IMO it's an absolute gem. Great colors with fast/accurate AF.

Some random shots from last few months. One or two may be posted elsewhere around the Sony forum. I'll post some more examples as the season gets up and running.

I agree with you Cory, this is an outstanding lens and for the money it can't be beat. I've had mine for a few years and really enjoy it.
