Does it have more of those notched points like what we've seen?

Probable on the other side.

If this is "all too much" then the unwritten rules of the game might have to be altered to limit subjects to "everyday items for everyone". But that seems dull. Better to come at it from different angles?

All that to say, is the item common enough that we are likely to know what it is if we saw it?

You took my question in a totally wrong way. It is not a complaint about using an uncommon item, it is simply asking if it is an uncommon item.

No reason to ask if it is a tool exclusive to the use nuclear physicists if it is only a can opener. So back to the original question, asked in a way that is "dull", is it a common item?

No, just the two. Again, those two pics are crops from the same shot. One looked a bit crooked so I rotated it a couple of degrees, then someone said it looked crooked...

Yes, left and right, if you like.

Is the gap between approximately 5/8ish?

The question could have implied many things, such is the language. I tried to answer in a coverall sort of way, unsure if I'd stretched protocol.
No it's not at all common, but it's "for" a common item. A couple of vaguely related applications too. An answer close to either will do;-)a.

So it's on the outside of item retained and you squeeze the ends to change the gap?

These numbers erase any ideas I had.

NVM, you just gave away a couple of key clues to this. It doesn't really retain as it's primary function, now does it. I'd stick around and play but I have to go replace the front brake hydraulic squeezer doohickies on my Rambler.

Sometimes I download the macro and keep a small version on my desktop for reference in case the game goes on for too many pages.

I thought Chris said it was a cutting tool for thin metal. That memory may be mistaken.
