Long story short, I had the 6D+ Tamron 150-600 earlier and after some "not so lucky year"(2016) they do not work any more.
I have since used my Panasonic FZ1000 but I feel it isn't good enough for distance subjects.

I'm now thinking of getting a Canon 80D with Tamron or Sigma 150-600 C.

As I remember the Tamron was very good at 400mm on par with Canons 400/5.6L
Sigma I have not used.

So I'm asking those who have one or the other if they are happy with the lens in IQ and AF performance when mounted on 80D.

Sony A7 III, Sigma MC-11,
Sigma 100-400 C, Tamron SP70-200/2.8 Di VC USD
Panasonic GX80, Panasonic 14-140 II

I can't speak of the 80D, but I had a version of the Sigma 150-500mm for my 7D. I couldn't get a sharp images regardless what I did. I sold it and bought the Canon 400mm f/5.6 L. Images immediately improved. Many people LOVE that Sigma lens and would get very defensive, even nasty, towards me when I bad mouthed it.

Just purchase from B&H and you have 15 days to try them out with only the cost of return shipping if you send it back. Can't beat it. Less than renting, even.

I use the 80D and Sigma 150-600C combo and like it. There's a Yellowstone gallery on my Smugmug site (in my signature). Most of the wildlife shots are with this combo, if you'd like to look.

Do not understand why there is a grey patch under the left wing.

The picture was shot under manual mode without proper exposure adjustment. I think it is under exposed. Even that is true, why should the dark area turned out grey instead of dark brown ?

The lens combo is Sigma 150-600_C. This is not the first time it happens.

Any idea ?
