I'm seeing a lot more colors from this lens (in all of your pics) than the typical 24-105L pics.

Are most of you using a filter or just the lens?

Its a very underrated lens, before 16-35 F4L IS came out, some people considered this to be a better choice than the 16-35 F2.8 MK II. 24-105 is a jack of all master of none lens, and is not that great on its wider end.

I am seriously considering picking a used one up for my car kit. My eyes tell me its still better than 18-135's wider end. 10-22 might be better but this makes hell of a walkaround on a crop body.

just the lens and a generic UV filter to me. then PP in lightroom but not that heavy editing...

I don't use a filter on the lens and I don't do heavy edits. Saturation around 15 or so most of the time
