Sony A7x lounge

The a7sII has superior low light capability (high iso) but for still images, the sensor size is only 12mp vs the 42mp of the a7rII.

Anyone use OCF?

I'm needing to get one flash setup.


I was looking into the xplor600 or maybe something a little smaller.


I don't shoot flash often but just need something for my outside work.

I have a full studio setup anytime I go to the studio.

Just need one portable one.
Honestly a nice speedlight would work

I have the yn600ex for Canon but obviously that ship sailed!!

HSS is needed!

For speedlight i recommend the godox v860ii. Very fast recycle time and never run out of battery(li-on)

For more power yah i also own the xplor 600 hss ttl

I may just save and get the xplor600 so I can be done with it.
I never really shoot in direct sunlight but sometimes I may and I guess that would be the ideal strobe

I have two Nissin Di700A's and an Air 1 Commander to control them and am very happy with this system. HSS and TTL is fully compatible with the Sony ar7 series of cameras.

Yah i usually shoot with natural light and at the right time. There are times though that you have no choice but to fight with the sun. or for creative purposes.

godox v860ii is amazing!

but now I also want another TT350s, not even close to 860ii, but sometimes a smaller flash is more convenient for not so critical work.

I'm gonna need a small flash for my Lumix LX100. it's coming today. Waiting patiently for the brown truck. then I have to charge the battery. agony agony agony. you know how boring it is to watch a battery charging for a new toy? lol

I've been using the XPLOR 600 and I love it. I'm hearing good things about the godox ad200/Flashpoint eVOLV 200 and is super portable.

xplor 600 user here. it's the finest flash I've ever used. Size wise, it's big, but that's ok because with the extension head, the size becomes an advantage as a weight. Cant imagine shooting with umbrellas without weights anyhow, that's an accident waiting to happen. It's also not top heavy with the extension head.... super bonus.

I asked this before, but can the flashpoint be fired with HSS via the Godox trigger?

Nick, I've got a godox ad360, 860II, and just acquired the 350s. Very solid flash system.

I can't say from personal experience, but I did read (somewhere) that you can use the Godox and Flashpoint interchangeably. They're the exact same thing, just FP is Adorama's branded version

+1, there was a user here that had both, dont recall name though. They have the same model numbers
