There is a nest at our local wetlands about 25 feet from the public boardwalk. She has two chicks now and one egg that is probably a dud. Last year she raised three chicks to fledgling and beyond in the same nest. It is a lucky find as usually they are so secretive. They are very popular with the photographers but it takes some patience to get the images due to branches angles, obstructions....but it can be done if you put the time in. I did yesterday morning. And eventually she got up off the nest to go fishing. And came back. It's very cool......
