Spent a good part of the morning with this semi-tolerant male eagle as he sat in a farm field. This is a significant crop of the original image.

Fantastic image Weja, I saw my first Firecrest today, I hesitated with the shot as I was waiting for the right moment for a clear shot without shadows and too many twigs. I could of kicked myself as it was just so quick and skittish that I lost the opportunity, I hanged around for an hour and it never returned.

It was wonderful to watch at least 5-6 Nuthatches come down to a muddy pool collecting mud for their nests. At one stage there was 3 of them having a squabble at the mud pool. I have never seen so many Nutchatches together in one place. They were joined by chaffinches, a marsh tit, blue and great tit as well at a blackcap, Long tailed tit, robin, and a wren. I was very fortunate today.

Some more birds seen at the same muddy water pool today, Male Blackcap, Male Chaffinch, Wren, Coal Tit. Also saw a long tailed, marsh, blue, great tit, and robin and of course several nuthatches. I was very lucky today, whereas yesterday all I saw was blackbirds and thrushes.
