I have had several 50D & 60D cameras in the past. I just got a 80D and the problem I have is when trying to look at a picture I took it comes up BUT the picture is so small on the left upper corner of the screen and the histogram area is much larger. Is there a way to turn off this histogram so I do not see it but get the picture full size on the screen? I can not find it in the manual. appreciate feedback on this issue.

Thanks Bill

Press the INFO button on the upper left of the camera's back. Three presses cycle through three options: 1) full picture, no histogram, 2) full picture with information: shutter speed, aperture, etc., and 3) small picture with histogram.

If I recall correctly its similar to the OP's 60D. Wonder why he's having a problem.

Hi Bill -

What you are seeing is normal, not a fault. You can cycle through the optional screens with the info button, as needed. It will stay on the last one you selected, next time you press it, but will change if you press it again. This has definitely been the same since the 50d, though the later cameras have maybe one more screen, to show the "spirit level". However you can edit what screens you can see when pressing the info button - for example you might want to limit the screens to just two, see p262 in your manual. Basically you need to select the settings (spanner icon) menu, second page (2), there you will find the options. Remember it has a touch screen which can make choosing menu options easier.

Hope this helps - these cameras do acquire more and more options with each new model and it can be quite confusing moving to a newer one. I tend to keep a pdf copy of the manual on my phone and on my laptop so it's easy to to do a quick search when I've forgotten some obscure function.

The 80D's rear-screen information is hugely more configurable than previous XxD bodies. This is from the manual. Start here and play with it. You actually have 4 different screens that you can configure just about at will, and then have only the ones you want in the viewable rotation. I love this feature of the 80D. I'm sure once you figure it out, you will too.
