I love these. I used to live in that area but this museum was not open yet. My last trip back I didn't have time to go. I really must make the time. Great photos.

Definitely get there when you can. It's a very cool facility, and the fact that they've got a Blackbird and shuttle under the same roof is pretty awesome. We were visiting with the In-laws in Williamsburg, so it was almost a three hour drive each way for us, but certainly worth it for the way it lit up the kid's face.

Yeah, it's like a 40 minute drive for me so I really have no excuse...

I think most people often overlook the awesome sights right there in their own backyard, in fact I actually know people who have never even been to DC and lived an hour away from it their whole lives.

Absolutely. When I lived in NYC, there were a number of things that were on the I'd-like-to-do-it-but-I-can-get-to-it-any-time list. ...and then I moved 10 years later and never got to cross them off the list.
