Permanent banNo, it doesn't. It actually adds separation from the background, preventing her hair from blending with it. 'The success of the second-rate is deplorable in itself; but it is more deplorable in that it very often obscures the genuine masterpiece. If the crowd runs after the false, it must neglect the true.' —Arthur Machen

AnnieMacD Oops, me again More info | Apr 12, 2017 14:49 | #3474 chris_holtmeier wrote in post #18324600 Yarek arrived from the Ukraine in New York for a symphony tour. Upon leaving the airport, half the orchestra disappeared into the city. There was never a tour, it was a scam to smuggle people into the US. He worked hard for his citizenship, and now teaches at one of the best conservatories in the country. ![]() This is a really great portrait. There is a sadness in his eyes.

My wife thinks the reflection behind her from the light ruins it. Thoughts? Here are a few quick things I would do: Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

My first thought about her expression was, "When photographing children who'd rather be out playing, you probably shouldn't tie their little hands to the fence behind them?" ; ) Haha, yep, kids are sooooo unpredictable. This was an outdoor park and she actually was playing. I was just following her around trying to capture the mood. My flickr
