I've had my canon for a couple of years now. I'm only a beginner and wanting to upgrade my lense.
Looking for some advise on what's recommended for a better everyday use lense under £1000.

What lens/lenses do you have and what aspect are you trying to improve?

At the moment I have the standard lense that comes with it...EF-S 18-55mm.
Sounds like you need to try some different things out so get a feel for what you like. The 10-18 and 55-250 STM get you both wider and longer for pretty cheap. Then you might want to add a faster prime here or there. The 24/2.8 stm gives you a nice wide angle and the 50/1.8 is good for shallow depth of field portraits. Then there is the new 35/2.8 macro and the 40/2.8 also for cheap.
