Hi guys

I'm making the switch from Canon, well not a complete switch as I'm still keeping my Canon. But what can you guys recommend as a good walk around lens?
Here's a small list of the lenses I use on my Canon,
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8
Canon 50mm f/1.8
Sigma 35mm f/1.4

Also, is there a good Canon to Sony adapter out there that will be compatible with my current lenses?

Kinda depends what you want; which is more important to you: size, price, image quality, max aperture?
I don't have any of the following (yet), so my comments are based on what I've read/researched:

16-50mm kit lens is not the best, but a lot of people like it, and it's small and cheap.
Sony/Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 is well regarded, but larger and more expensive.
Larger and more expensive still is the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM

For primes the Sigma 19mm f/2.8 DN and 30mm f/2.8 DN are good quality at bargain prices.
The Sony 16mm f/2.8 and 20mm f/2.8 pancakes are smaller, but more expensive and not as good as the Sigma 19mm
Sony FE 28 f/2 seems to get a lot of good reviews, and is a good value

Metabones adapters seem to be the best for reliability and auto-focus speed/accuracy. They have both a straight adapter and a speed booster for Canon EF to Sony E mount.

Yes I've been looking at a few native lenses specifically the Sony 16-70mm f4 and 35mm 1.8

As for adapter, I may just grab one of the cheaper ones I found on amazon. Auto focus isn't all important as I'm used to shooting all manual.

Hi. I would buy a metabones 4 adaptor and use your Canon lenses. I have a 7r2 and 6500 and the metabones works well with my Canon lenses. The 17-40 and 24-105 are very good at AF . The 70-200 f4 works very well for wildlife as well as my 100-400. Then you can pick up native 2nd hand lenses as you feel the need.

18-105 f/4 if you don't mind the not as wide 27mm and don't mind The power zoom. It's cheap but a little large but gives you 27-158 or so.

My favorite walk-around for my a6300 is the Zeiss Batis 25/2...It's awesome on a crop

Thanks, guys!

I picked up both a6500 & the Sony 35mm "Open Box" from B&H for the price of a new body.
I'm pretty happy with this setup so far and eyeing my next e-mount lens.

I also purchased the leather case from Sony to add some meat to the a6500, coming from a DSLR it just feels so tiny. :-)

My default lens on my Sony A6000 was Sonnar 24mm ZA f1.8: an amazing lens that I would rate in the same level of Sony Sonnar 55mm, like a mini Otus for the APSC format! I sold it recently because I am moving to FF (My A7rii is on the way).

I have read good things about the Zeiss Touit land Sigma Art lines of lense too but haven't personally tried them myself.
