My point is that no other camera brand does that.

How many of you guys would even use the 20FPS? A 5 second burst and you're looking at 100 frames to cull through.

Everything look good about it, price not withstanding.

I'll be waiting for the A9R. Maybe if it's as awesome as the specs say it should be I'll get rid of the 1Dx and all my Canon lenses . . . . . . . .

Except for sports shooters, I'm struggling to understand what use would anyone make of the fast FPS, hundreds of AF points, and that super fast shutter. The biggest improvements I see are better battery life, joystick, and dual card slot.

It's certainly a solid contender for 1DX. And maybe I'm missing something dead obvious, but all I see is a pitch on a niche market.

Yeah its certainly not for me but I do appreciate the feature set. Sony have obviously made a decision to go head to head with canikon in the sports market so this is a great starting point for them. They can then release some big white type lenses at crazy prices and hope to start stealing these guys over. They will also no doubt trickle the technology down into the next a7 series cameras so its not like they have to do all the R&D for this stuff then only sell it to a small market, they can also sell it to the existing market share that they have by bringing out a a7R3 with higher spec than the a7R2 but less than the A9 etc

Bragging rights...duh.

lol. Nice camera, but not for me either. I do need a faster event body, so I'll hold out for that. The a9 is overkill for me. The a7rII covers most of what I need TBH

Thank you Sony. I didn't want to want a new camera, and you made the perfect camera for me not to want. :p

100-400mm though...would love one of those. But, again, I can face my own reality: if I bought a 100-400mm, it would get used about as much as any of the 70-200's I've owned (hardly ever at all). Big lenses just don't see much use for me. Still, a 100-400mm has more range and usefulness than a 70-200mm (for my interests).
