3 years in a row we've had a duck in the same spot of our flower garden. I guess it's the same duck? I got a glimpse of the 11 eggs she's keeping warm while she was up chasing off other males. Alas, she was back on them by time I got back with the camera.

Well, the FS thread is still up.. although I haven't bumped it..not really sure what to do to be honest ..

I DO want the gh5,, as it has many boxes ticked off as far as things I've been looking for ..
excellent video quality and capabilities (especially 60fps 4k) , rugged (for travel/vacation adventures-hiking , climbing , nature , exposure to unkind conditions , like my 5d3 was a champ at this.. things that I worry about how the sonys will handle) weather resistant , good quality stills

I think I will keep trying with the a6500 ,, image quality @24fps in 4k is actually better than the gh5 from what I've seen , I suppose that's because it downsamples from 6k .. although that's all pixel peeping business..

really its about usability .. I've had Panasonic cameras before and they are just easier to use..

but.... I think i'm going to stick with my a6500 and a7sii combo.. the fact that I can share lenses and accessories easily is a big factor .. m4/3 poor low light abilities doesn't entice me either .. I know what it is, as I've said been there before..and m4/3 limited lighting (for portraits) options is also a major pain..

I don't dislike the a6500 ,, two major complaints are poor visibility of rear screen in day and really wish it had a third dial so that all 3 majors (ss,iso and aperture) could be more easily controlled and set
other than that I like the image quality in both video and stills

I have a music video i'm finishing up today should be releasing tomorrow , i'll post a link.. (although that one was shot on the a7sii, as I had the a6500 sit out as I thought I was going to sell and didn't want to take any chance damaging or putting any dings or scratches)
I'd love some constructive criticism ,, I only ask that , please don't judge the music only the videography :-)

really its about usability .. I've had Panasonic cameras before and they are just easier to use..I agree that this camera is not the best ergonomically. The upside is it's small size which is what is most important for my uses.

but.... I think i'm going to stick with my a6500 and a7sii combo.. the fact that I can share lenses and accessories easily is a big factor .. m4/3 poor low light abilities doesn't entice me either .. other than that I like the image quality in both video and stills

^^Very nice processing on this one^^

River through our town has been at flood stage for weeks and the mid to high elevations in the mountains are still loaded with snow! This tree should NOT be under water!

Thanks! Looking forward to shooting with it! It is arriving here on Friday. I picked up the Sigma MC-11 refurbished direct from Sigma so I'm also looking forward to working with my current glass as well

That's basically what I did as well. It works with all of my Canon glass for stills. I really don't do video so I'm not sure how that works with it.

MC-11 with Canon glass = no AF in video

True but if you use Sigma glass (Canon mount), you get the best of both worlds. I'll stick with my stills for now....
