I balked at the price as well till i remembered that... Gear, New and Old! RAW Club Member

Ive been waiting with cash in the bank for the 6dm2 but its probably better to wait for the a7r3. Sony is looking like the not so distant future of photography. Canon and Nikon better get their stuff together because their future is looking dim. Canon and Nikon of today reminds me of Polaroid and Kodak of the past... stuck in their old ways ignoring the market... and when they finally woke up it was to late... and look where Polaroid and Kodak is now..

But before people go investing tens of thousands of dollars in Sony glass, they need to know that they can trust Sony to keep the same mount configuration for years and years and years to come. . Nobody spending 20 or 30 grand on a collection of lenses is going to be satisfied using adaptors. mwsilver wrote in post #18332178 Whether or not this body will overtake Canon or Nikon on the professional level is iffy at this point. I read the same prognostication for the A7r II when it first came out, and that didn't happen. There are lots of factors that go into choosing a professional camera Yeah, what you said. "Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
