Congrats! It's a nice kit!

Went out to the SW Idaho/SE Oregon desert this weekend. I didn't put a lot of effort into photography as it was really just a trip with the family. Really should go back to shoot more at the right time of the day. The light was hit and miss anyhow.

One last example from my recent trip to Leslie Gulch in SE Oregon. Very pretty area.

I got the same kit as well yesterday, a6500 and 18-105. Also have the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 coming in today as well. Going to try and rock a 2 lens kit for a while. Seems like it should work out, as I mostly use a zoom outdoors so the range of the 18-105 should cover me and I switch to a low light prime when ISO levels creep past 3200, so the 1.4 should work out well.

I've had the a7RII for over a year and a half... and I still bought the a6500... to me, they are different tools. Was it wrong for you to pass on it? That all depends on your photography needs, and only you will be able to determine that.

btter getting a A9. it cimpliments any A7 body as its full frame

Excellent!

I'm hoping I can work with just the 18-105 as my native lens. Still not sure if I want to keep the 16-50 kit as a compact walk-around or not. I had to send the MC-11 back as Sigma sent the wrong version. Waiting for the replacement to com so I can play with my Canon and Sigma glass. Then I'll decide if I want to get more Sony native glass :-D
