Nice falloff from blurred BG to in focus foreground. Did you use a gradient layer for this?

Some more testing of the bombo filter system.... works poorly with 6 or 10 stop, but does well enough with 3 stop. Something is better than nothing, and no fault of the filter system, rather than the extreme design of the 10mm just doesnt work well due to angle of view. I think the adapters themselves could use more threads though, will have to shoot more normal lenses to see. I love that the filter system is extremely compact. on a sad note, cracked my polarizer.... not sure if still useable or not since it's at the side.....

A quick grab of the volcano outside the Mirage hotel in Vegas. Shot at iso 1600, then pushed over 4 stops in post.

Charlie, I think I'm going to do it next time I go. I had to save something for the "next trip"--right?

The first shot of the last set I took through the High Roller ferris wheel, and man that glass was thick and dirty.

The second shot of the set I took going down the escalator on the Venetian/Wynn footbridge.

A few more, but indoors, just because I'm in the spirit right now.

The Atrium at Wynn.

I only had the A7r/Zeiss 24 SSM and RX100ii this trip, as I wanted to get better acquainted with the 24 during the trip. It focuses so slow with that LA-EA3 on the a7r, but who cares for landscape. The RX100 was brought specifically for the Billy Idol concert, as HOB doesn't allow DSLR without media creds.

I did find it interesting that they allowed a Nikon superzoom bridge camera in, though. He could have told us what brand of eye liner Steve Stevens used with that thing.

from what i'm understanding ,, using sigma lenses with sony you get better AF with sigma adapter over metabones...

what i'm not sure of is ,, does it matter what mount I get the lens in ?( as far as how good AF is )

i'd rather in ef mount

I got a couple of Cameras and lenses ...

A Robin joined me for breakfast. I was shooting something else at the time, so this was an opportunistic shot with an FE16-35, heavily cropped.

As long as it is an Art lens on a generation 2 body, it seems like the Sigma adapter is pretty much like native focus according to a few of the shooters here. Pretty good on Canon EF lenses, too, AFAIK?
