Often this thread leaves me wanting, wanting to see more and more species.
I'll probably never get to see all the ones I'd like to so I appreciate living through
these distant lenses.

Here's my only good portrait of a Snail Kite from the trip last month.

A quick wetlands trip this afternoon yielded the little blue heron above, and this one

Same with me and Buzzards - loads and loads I have flying and only ever seen the one sitting on a power line post but from a long way.
