I had ordered 2 64GB and 1 32GB soon after this thread was posted. 1 of each came yesterday while 1 64GB was back-ordered. Adorama just emailed to say it's been discontinued and that part of my order is being cancelled. Bummer, but at least I got most of it.

Gents...just got adorama email:

"We are sorry to inform you that this item has been discontinued
and is no longer available, we therefore have no other choice but to
cancel yourorder."

Well, the 64 GB was a nice thought, but I guess I was too late.

Note...NY'ers noted as fast talkers...now faster writers...'yourorder'.

I bought a 128gb few month ago from Amazon , I used it for about 8 times and I usually cut the pictures folder and paste in my HDD .
when I insert the card in my camera it gives me an reading error and I have to format the memory to be able to used it again . it happened to me twice , never had any issue with my Lexar in past . vmad
I would not recommend this memory for paid works unless you have another memory in the other slot

Don't know about 128gb cards but the last couple of years, I've been using the Toshiba along with Lexar (32gb cards) in rotation without any issues. Yes, paid work... however, I do write to multiple cards.

I wouldnt go around touting that its no good for anything paid. this is one instance. Any electronics can have issues no matter how good the brand or anything at anytime. I have been using it a bunch since I got it and tons of cut and paste from PC and zero issues. but I format my cards everytime i put them back in the body. Also when you cut and paste your PC could have just altered the file state somehow from it and it confused the camera and formatting it put everything back in order and was good to go.

yes it might be because of cutting the whole folder , I am not new to photography and I usually cut the whole folder it never happened to me before , last time it happened I used low level format but it does not help .
anyway it was my experience with Toshiba and I hope you never have any issue with it

i have never cut the folder..I just cut and paste the photos in it. removing that folder probably had some issue since thats the file structure the canon camera uses. so it couldnt find that folder. figure it should just create it but maybe only formatting is the way it will remake it.

I do not believe that cut and pasting a folder from a CF card could cause damage to a card to the point that you would notice,. let alone be unable to recover from it. I'd let that theory go.

For the record, I always copy or cut the folder, or drag and drop. (same as copy and paste) simply because it seems faster than selecting all and then dragging/copying.

Making the folder disappear via cutting it in an OS has zero ill effects. As soon as the card is reinserted, the little red light blinks and bam, you have a new folder.

In practice copying and pasting vs. cut, is more of a safe way to operate. But the possible disasters from cutting would not include the early death of the card.
