He bought grey vans for all of his groomsmen and the ring bearer. I think the grey on grey looks good, and I know that vans and converse have been a thing for a while, but I'm a sucker for elegant loafers. I spent a lot for Bruno Maglis for my wedding.
Fine with jeans ... but never with a suit. Probably expensive ... but looks so cheap.
Buy a pair of nice Italian or British made shoes (loafers, boots or Oxford lace-ups) for your wedding if you have the means. It will look really classy. It suggests you care.
Come-on: You get born (biggest day of your existence by far but you don't have much choice over attire); You get married (second biggest day of your existence and one where you can choose what you wear ... don't screw it up by wearing what are basically trainers); You have children, you achieve this, you blow that and finally you die (well, it's good to be elegant but what shoes you are wearing is not going to be anybody's first priority that day!).
