hehe it was honestly one of these, but some people really don't understand the way their own cameras work....

I don't have patience for that...

Same people every time. Bashing Sony in the Sony forum then the a9 comes out and they continue. It's not like we spend all our time in the canon forum bashing canon. I really don't understand it, if they don't like it don't buy it! Simple. As soon as that thread started I knew Wilt would be there and hey presto. I don't even read it now as it aggravates me

I would also look into the Think Tank Retrospective Lens Changer bags as well. When I used to shoot quick moving events, I would place my lenses into the LC3, carry around the body with 24-70 on a strap, and place a 35, 85 into two of the slots. I'd leave one slot empty to place the lens that I had on the camera in quickly. Carry it around with the flap tucked over and you have very quick access to your lenses. I find it much quicker than using a traditional camera bag. And when you're done you can transfer your gear back into your bag of choice.

While the lens changer idea of the PD is interesting, not sure I want to take the chance of your lenses getting hit while you move around and something about it declicking from the mount would scare me. unless it has a mount lock like on camera bodies (it might, I never looked at it), if it's a simple rotation that secures the lens, I'd be scared that a simple accidental rotation of the lens would send it flying.

Looking at the bag option, i might just use my billingham bag. it's going to be empty anyway since i will always have my camera and speedlight out. it's easier/faster to just drop the lens in there. I've seen a PK Design lens changer review on YT stating that sometimes it can take a few seconds to align the dot on the lens and the changer vs a sling bag like the billingham which we can just drop the lens down.

what do you think?

I don't shoot weddings but that's what I do. When I want to change lens I remove the lens from the body and drop it into the spot in my shoulder bag where the camera was, lift the new lens out and attach and then put the end cap on the removed lens and put it in the slot where the lens was. Very quick process and less messing about with lenses outside the bag. Works for me

I got one step closer to an A9 last night...an image shot with the Sony took Best in Show at a local Festival of the Arts, pretty nice payout...a good chunk of the price of an A9...really starting to strategize...

And a photo...with the CV12, 128 stacked in SR. Love that app, no filters required!

Thanks Vinz! It's actually a speedlight modifier. Rapid Box duo...32 inch octa.

I plan on getting the rapidbox XL with a bowens mount eventually. The rapidbox modifiers are expensive, but have a really sturdy metal frame. My westcott apollo died that day at the beach because the wind kept knocking it over.

Great image and congrats on the win. I don't share the enthusiasm for the a9, though it's undoubtedly awesome. I'd rather load up on glass. :)

I have the a7rii and need a flash
I have my old canon yn600ex and the e3-rt but they don't seem to work

I was gonna sell them and try to get another cheap flash setup just to get me by
I don't use it much but need something

recommendations? Must be wireless and would LOVE HSS

Also, guy has a zeiss 24-70 2.8 that needs an adapter to use with the a7r but is only asking like $800 and its basically brand new
Is this lens worth it or is adapting just kinda annoying? I had the sigma adapter and it was OK just kinda annoying tbh

We all have different needs, I can see how the A9 has no real appeal to you...but I need something that can do sports...racing, baseball, gymnastics, fast paced stuff that the A7r2 has failed at...I have half a mind to try out a gripped A6500 to see if it will cut it...but I would love it if I had something that can do sports and be my main full frame portrait camera...the A7R2 is overkill for that...I really want to get down to a one make system save for the 135L...
