Thanks I love it really so much better than my 550d which it should be. It;s so much easier to get the shots wasn't as bad to use as I'd thought. Just need to get used to the button layouts.

Admittedly this isn't a super-difficult subject, as these geese live in town year-round and are quite tame. However, I just love this time of year when all the goslings start to hatch. I also wanted a chance to try my 1.4x teleconverter with the 150-600 in the wild. My verdict is that it is...ok. I had good light, but the focus was much slower and hunted a lot more on my 5D IV. While I may still use it occassionally, I thin the majority of the time I will stick with the bare lens.

How many here upgraded from Canon EF400mm f/5.6? I am thinking of trading mine...Any regrets who did it? I have the 500mm and don't want to spend more money with 100-400mk2.
Thanks

I have both. I suggest that you rent the sigma and see. They are two different beasts.

This Peregrine Falcon suddenly appeared nearby when I was walking the Malvern hills, but it was at the end of my range even with a crop sensor and 600mm. Quite a heavy crop too. Better than nowt though :-)

HI Just got the 7dmk2 to go with this lens. Has anyone needed to MFA, and which way did you do it? Body only or with the dock and lens.
With my old 550d it doesn't have MFA built -in and I needed to +17 on the long end with the dock but seams with the new body looks ok with no adjustment as yet. I need to shoot more to see if it does, only time will tell.

Thanks.

I've tried to mfa this lens a few times and each time has resulted in no adjustments at all. As much as I'd like to make this lens sharper than it is I think the only way for me to do that is buy a big white! And that isn't happening any time soon.

Thank-you Bones! If I ever see the kids under mom's wing I always hang around because odds are at least someone will peek out...

Last year it was mainly only the gosling eyes you saw, which was a better shot that what I posted. Thanks again ~
