Lets See Your Abandoned and Dilapidated Buildings / Ruins

I know a little....it s on Sandy Hook, NJ, USA. Ships entering New York harbor used to run aground there. The area was used by the army- they had a Nike base there for a while. Now it is a national park. The buildings were is a state of benign neglect, but are being restored. I always thought they should be rented out as hotels or something, especially the barracks.

The latitude/longitude coordinates are in Capn Jack's pictures' EXIF. N 40° 25' 35.57", W 73° 59' 3.69", copy and paste in Google Earth or Maps. Google Earth depicts the building in 3D.

After you told me you found the latitude/longitude, I looked for it in Photoshop Elements 15. I did find it no problem, however from PSE15 I was not able to do any copy/pasting.

What program do you use for that purpose?

I use the FxIF Add-on for Firefox. View the image in the shadow box and right-click.

Thank you... got it now!

The church that now owns the property is clearing the brush and trimming the pine trees, preparing the site for eventual demolition.

Amazing Jon! Love that last one, how do you get such a clean image. Looks like almost zero light pollution. My milky way shots always feel so hazy and blah to me.

Thanks Rezcar! That's no trick at all. Just drive to a dark area. This house is located about a mile outside Last Chance, CO which is the size of an intersection. There was no light pollution or haze. The light you see on the horizon was the beginning of the sun rising. Having said that, I like shots with light pollution in them, especially with clouds lit up by them. Kind of like the middle shot, though that light is the moon setting.
