I am not sure of their impact in the U.K. overall. We don't tend to see them in north east Scotland. Our common visitor is the pink footed goose, with up to 20% of the world's population appearing during the winter months. There can be tens of thousands at Loch of Strathbeg and it is common to see and hear then flying overhead or filling a farmer's field.

I remember back In the day when I posted a Fox or Pine Marten people were ecstatic.. How times change. These eye's I could never get use to..
Getting out is not easy as its been raining here for a couple weeks and town is now flooded and under water up as high as the flood of 2013. feel sorry for those in the low area's. My house on the hill is high and dry. One of my fav beaver ponds blew right through the road and took out two or three very large ponds. There completely dry now, I think 6 feet of water rushed out of the pond taking everything. the land and beaver hut are now relocated. not sure how thats gona go over with the beaver. Took this video the only day the sun came out in a while. The county has not fixed the road but the beavers have started work already.

That looks pretty serious, Jeff! I trust the road will be fixed soon and I do understand why the beavers did not wait for the county to fix their dam, too;)! Hope you're in for some better weather...

We're have the opposite problem here... no substantial rain in months. Everything is brown. A hundred or more wild fires burning in the state of Florida.

Weather is odd.

Has anyone that's used a 5DII / III or 6D prior or alongside noticed the feel of the 7D2 shutter button being completely different? I'm using a brand new 7D2 body and every time I press the shutter release the initial half movement seems so slack in comparison to the point it actually concerns me in regards to it packing in at some point in the near future, it isn't a nice damped, well built feeling like my other Canon models, actually feels quite cheap and loose when I press it down through its first movement until it reaches the metering operation and from then on it feels normal taking the shot! Can anyone confirm before I try out a demo model that it's normal for this model?

I own a DSLR, some lenses and some lights.

I don't have a 5D or 6D series camera, but my 7D2 shutter button is definitely sloppier than my T6s and was awkward to half-press for focus compared to the T6s, and I kept accidentally taking pictures while trying to focus with the shutter. The mushy button is probably one of the reasons I found BBF more comfortable on the 7D2 but prefer regular shutter button focus on the T6s.

Back button focus is a good thing to learn on the 7D2 or any pro camera, separating out focus from metering/shutter release can be very helpful in some situations

It's not a bird... it's one of the new observation vehicles sent to see what we little humans are up to!

Several baseball photos from last Friday. Again nothing that i would consider really great. Light was good early then it got dark and the ISO's went up. ;)
