So, you are here too. I read about your experience on GD FB group, and/or the GD Owners' forum. Do full frame if you can.

I spent a couple of hours poking through the wreckage and could not find a trace of the camera or lens. But the area it was stored in was heavily damaged by the fire and it was kind of dangerous. After a couple of hours of digging, I'd had enough.

Sound like we both have the same interests! Other than the camera, the only other thing I have remaining to replace is the tripod. Need to start my research on that.

Hmmmm I think you really could have done better if you had moved camera left so as to get the engine in the foreground and the burning truck behind it.... or all alternatively further to the right so the fire truck was in the background. It's a nice shot but you can do better. I suggest taking the new truck and a can of petrol and having another go. ;)

Please, no more. I'm already threatened by how often XKCD makes perfect sense. That cannot be normal. I play golf and watch the markets and everything but that doesn't seem to help.

If xkcd makes sense, you're not normal (as you apparently suspect already).

Is that a bad thing? :p
