I went for a 'convenience' break in the bush today and discovered I was not alone. A Southern Boobook owl.

Pretty sure it's this owl that I encountered last year.

Several baseball photos from Tuesday evening with the lens before it got dark.

First one is a batting practice ball so it is a little beat up. Wish I had done it with a game ball.

Just look at the intensity in the pitcher's eye!
Sadly I've never seen a pro level baseball game :( But
your pics make me feel like I'm there!

I've been out of commission since clearing the yard after hurricane Debbie. Lost two 3 meter cactus and ended up with bursitis/frozen shoulder after humping the things around. Cant lift this combo high enough. Anyways, got this little feller this morning with the aid of a monopod. I've had it since getting this combo and never used it but knew it would come in handy one day :-)

The precursor to the wind. Not exactly the best environment for a succulent garden :-) I thought I was going to lose the air conditioner at a later stage!

Gorgeous yard! Looks like you get as much rain as I do.....bet yours is seasonal though. Mine is yearly across the board, well unless its frozen rain like Pondraders.

Yeah... it puts my current little bout with paronychia into perspective. Heal up, everyone!

In summer can put down 100mils in 30 mins. frequent afternoon thunderstorms lasting about an hour that dumps heaps and then the sun comes out again as if nothings happened?
