Aphids with escape hatches..

Spotted 3 mummified aphids on a blackberry leaf and kept the leaf in a specimen bottle to see what emerged. 4 days later I had 3 mummified aphids with escape hatches cut into their backs and 3 parasitic braconid wasps.

In the past I have always used a ball on top on my tripod. With the recent purchase of a Carbon Fiber Gimbal these are a couple of my first images with the gimbal..
My first impressions are
Pro: super steady, fast to acquire subject, ease of use, fast setup
Con: cumbersome to carry in field
