Got in very close with my macro lens and 25mm extension tube on these Lily anthers. Love natural window light.

I also played around a bit with my macro lens and extension tubes this past week! All of these were handheld with 100L + up to 50mm of extension, and included some form of off-camera 580ex II, mostly in HSS mode.

Here's a slightly different type of image from last week, also taken with the 100L Macro:

Really amazing shots

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I just looked at this image on Flickr and when I zoomed in to look at some of the detail it really creates what could be a great second much tighter cropping of this picture as the details of her eye lash pop and the water droplets on the shower glass are amazing.

Well done

Thanks! Yeah that's one thing I love about the 5Ds/R. You can get multiple shots from a single image.

For the second most densely populate state, it sure feels easy to find perfectly secluded spots here in my new home state of Rhode Island. The sunset tonight was relatively colorless above this beaver-dammed pond (just blues and minor oranges,) so it felt right to go BW with it!

2 minutes with the big stopper:

Can you see the Monarch in the chrysalis from this morning? Have been working on a Monarch butterfly project for the last month. Waiting on new caterpillars on my milkweed. The butterfly flew off before I could get the shot.

Had to work this morning. Oh well..
