And a couple more:
This first one shows both chicks. All you can see of the second one is the fuzzy top of it's head.

We went to Monterey over the weekend but all our whale watching trips were cancelled due to windy weather. So I was taking sunset pictures at the dunes right next to our hotel when this guy pops up. Sunset Surprise.

Sorry your whale watching plans were canceled, Maureen. Beautiful sunset surprise though.

It was lucky that the whale missed that weather report.

So............It has been awhile! I wish I could say it was all good. An update: I have been struggling with my fathers illness since last May, it came to an end in March, which gave me a new struggle; coping with his loss.

Now, I have also been struggling with my own illness for 6 years, with multiple trips to the hospital, including a recent 6 day stay starting Mother's Day. Unfortunately, recuperating is a long process.

But, I do have hope, they have recently started me on an experimental program, which they hope might solve my problem.
Fingers crossed;-)a

Just wanted to pass along why I haven't been posting in a while. But, I do lurk!

Barb.....Great images, that combination seems to be working.

Maureen.......sorry your plans got canceled, but at least the whales still came out to play!

Here's hoping Everyone had a great Mother's Day:-)

Lynn, I am praying your experimental program is a success. I had my gallbladder out 8 yrs ago but still experience stones in my bile ducts...called choledocolithiasis. Feels like a gallbladder attack because the stones are trying to pass through the ducts .....sometimes it requires a trip to the ER for pain medicine but luckily only once this year so far. Miserable for sure so I really feel for you.

I have been back to baby photography after a month long bout of bronchitis, pink eye and pneumonia. My grandkids keep the germ pool stirred up with runny noses, ear infections, pink eye and colds but crossing my fingers that the heat will cure all for the summer.

My flapper baby...still have the jury out on on the processing & still working on the batch.

So every year I do a DAD photo shoot for my son-in-law for Father's Day from the kids. We usually start early in case we are unsuccessful & need to do a re-shoot. We started today with Ella throwing a serious 10 minute screaming tantrum. (I adore her but so grateful for the 4 grandsons...:-P) Both Tristan & Grayson took 4 shots and I picked their first shot for the photo collage. Ella got 29 shots and I picked the 27th one for her photo. Does that tell you anything? :p :p

Hmmm, as this is the Lady Photographer thread, I'd better say nothing. I think you said it all Maureen :p

Nice idea though a DAD photo shoot.

Mark, I think you mean 2 yr old girls. :p

Seriously, today 4 yr old Tristan threw a tantrum because I beat him at a car race across my tile floor. He won the 1st race but I won the 2nd one & he came undone. I did something I never do & whacked his bottom, then put him to bed in my room. I think he was so shocked he went right to sleep.

Thank goodness! A whack on the behind never does any harm. All the modern day political correctness etc has led to a generation of parents who have to talk/persuade their children to behave and hardly ever works. I bet Tristan learned something today, and got a good sleep too; seems like a good result to me :-)

Yes, I know those tantrums can go both ways and glad you dealt with it. He'll probably think twice next time...lol.

He gets an occasional whack at home as well....my daughter & son-in-law both believe they listened better & learned better when they got the well deserved whack. Never a beating but definitely a statement made on the derrière
