POTN G-series Speed Challenge #639 - Joy

I'm recycling this challenge which was #2 - the first one I ever entered back in 2005 when the size rule was 640 pixels. This was the original explanation, unchanged: "The entry that best conveys the theme Joy will win first place. Of course, composition, subject, emotional content, expression and all those factors will come into play here."

***************

RESULTS

Thanks to the four who entered! Back in 2005 exactly the same challenge attracted over a dozen, so there's either less joy around or (the more likely reason) a lesser proportion of G-series camera owners than there were then.

Comments:

JimAskew - "Swimming Joy": A delighful photo perfect for this week.

Trumper - "Doggy joy": Exuberence well captured.

Maureen - "Playtime": Cute little dogs, nice composition and focus.

Car - "Jump for Joy": Had to turn my head and look closely to make sure the girl wasn't screaming in terror about to fall off the edge, but you're right - it's joy!

WINNERS:

First is Car's frolicking family with Jim Askew's pool shot a very close second, and I'll call it a tie for third between Trumpers's dogs having fun and Maureen's happy pair. There - everybody on the podium!

So now take it away, Carolyn, and I can get back to entering.;-)a

***************

Congratulations to Car, Trumper, and Maureen, and thanks for the coveted 2nd place nod! Great contest teekay! This topic was tough to fill and the entries submitted were just great!

My shot was made in North Hollywood, CA this past March. It was our grandson Leo's first venture into a swimming pool. As you can tell he loved it :-)

 Well done everyone.I agree 100% with the decision.Happiness and joy is so many different things to different people and creatures. :)
I would have thought there were more g series TYPE cameras BUT maybe there are so many different makes now that the Canon models + members on here are a smaller market.
