.
As usual, a wonderful composition and very effective use of tonal range.

But, why is he in a cage?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Clearly looks to have a volatile aggressive personality. Think 'Silence of the Lambs'.

...well maybe not.

I love the shot overall as a whole, but the lack of sharpness on his face is throwing me off a bit. I do love the black and white though.

I really like the overall mood and composition, and the lighting is excellent but Jarvis CS is right, it's not very sharp. Looks to be front-focused to me (on the diagonal scaffolding pole???).

This C&C comes, quite unfairly, from the unchallenged champion of un-sharp btw.

Good point, sirs. I cannot unsee this as well. The lens do play tricks sometimes, because focus was confirmed /when shooting wide, I do not recompose/. I'm just f***ing broke to get a new glass.

On the 'plus' side, I find almost all of your photos to be interesting and this is no exception.

There's quite a lot of technically almost perfect stuff posted here on POTN pretty much every day that, in the end, leaves me completely cold.

I don't believe you about the 'silent' part. Can you remember what focus setting you used for the shot? Did you use a zonal focus option, maybe?

The unsharp focus doesn't bother me. It lends an air of candidness and a strong sense of time: this picture was captured in the moment, the guy was in the middle of doing something.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa, more so (2 wds.), shoo-in | IMAGE EDITING OK

Didn't HCB say sharp focus is overrated?

Expression, composition and use of light trump precise focus :).

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).
