Has anyone try this lens on a 50D?

The Tamron is $1,300 retail. If you could get the Canon version for the same prize. Which one would you choose? I'm debating this.

I just went through the same debate myself. I went with the Tamron because I like new things and the long warranty Tamron offers. Plus, even a refurbished Canon would have been more money when sales tax and the B&H rewards were figured in the equation. Performance differences are nominal according to the many reviews I studied.

I read so much and watched so many video reviews my brain is fried. I think I'll do the same cuz of the warranty. Thanks

I'm starting to see bundles showing up where some vendors are including the console at $1,299. Hasn't reached B&H or Adorama yet so I doubt it's a Tamron sponsors bundle like Sigma is doing. I'll try and find that link for you.

Digital Goja is doing it for $1,329.99, but they're including a lot of cheap filters and grab-bag stuff in their bundle as well.

https://www.amazon.com …keywords=tamron+70-200+g2 (external link)

I'll continue to look for the $1,299.99 console only bundle link for you.

Not really. Amazon collects $86.45 of tax. I rather order from B&H and get free shipping and reward points :D

Ah,... completely missed the Sales Tax thing. Try ordering directly from Digital Goja if you're not in Florida.

Just ran across Beach Camera. Here's there link: http://www.beachcamera.com …WELAID=230006090000127231 (external link)

I've never ordered anything from them, but I've heard a lot of them. As long as it's not a hole in the wall like 42nd Street or any of the other hackers. Good luck.
