Still unsightly. At least they had a goid purpose. However, they have no place in a museum

Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway Big Diesel "Thrash" 2017. Now they are connected to the Main Line they organised a few big diesels for a 3 day visit

Kind of neat. Notice the first container behind the engine. It's called an arrowedge, pronounced "arrow-edge", an aerodynamic device developed by UP employees that's designed to help reduce fuel usage and emissions on double-stack intermodal trains. Here, it's coasting down the eastern Sierras from Truckee California, passing through Verdi Nevada approaching Reno, and crossing the Truckee River.

I've never seen one of those arrowedge things before but when I first saw it there in your photo my first reaction was "Duh, why didn't I think of that?"

Nice catch! There aren't a lot of them out there but I think UP is going to greatly increase their numbers.

Check out how they came to be - pretty cool and def a "why didn't I think of that" LOL! Semis have had them for 30 years!
