Challenge #640 - Bottles (revisited)
_______________

I'm going to pinch Teekays' idea from last week - This was the first challenge I entered in January 2008 after getting my G7 for Christmas - funnily enough, it was hosted and judged by Teekay too :-P Again, anything goes as long as bottles (singular or plural) are the main focus of your entry.

Sorry I didn't post last night - judging as follows:

Jim - Jug Eared Bottle - My, that's a face and a half! Wherever did you find him?
Trumper - Bottle lights - I always think of Christmas whan I see lights like this - such a warm cosy glow they provide.
Corythosaurus - Pop Art - Beautiful. The Colours really do 'pop'
Maureen - Inside my Fridge - nice variation of drinks - not sure I'd be brave enough to show mine (too much Rose Wine!)
Spocco - The Bottle Tree - I love this, it Intrigues me, where is it? Is it just deorative or does it have a special meaning or relevance? Please tell.
Teekay - Just Water - Simple yet effective composition that works well in Black and White.

Thanks all for taking part - places are as follows:
1st Place - Corythosaurus - Pop Art
2nd Place - Spocco - The Bottle Tree
3rd Place - Teekay - Just Water

Over to you Cory

Thanks for the sweet spot, Car, and congrats to Cory and Teekay. Those were great choices, and I agree with those two. Not so sure mine belonged there but much appreciated! Thanks for the challenge and the judging!

Bottle trees seem to be a kind of local tradition in upstate NY. I'm not sure how widespread it is. I found this one in a local parking lot and just shot because it was early fall and the colors were nice.

Steve

Congratulations to Cory, Spoco57, and Teekay! Loved Cory's bottles...so colorful and sharp! What was your setup for the shot, Cory? It is truly outstanding.

I found my gruesome fellow in an antique shop this past fall. Needless to say I passed on the purchase! :p

I knew Cory had the winner....love the vintage look of those pop bottles. I had some great bottle photos...just not taken with the right camera & I had just cleaned out my refrigerator when I took my shot. Otherwise I would not have been so brave (Carolyn...I have a 75 bottle wine fridge I should have looked at more seriously).

Teekay, I loved the simplistic B&W shot you entered.....
