Used my Rokinon 14mm F/2.8. 8 images manually stacked in Photoshop for noise reduction and detail enhancement. I then used one shot at ISO 400 of the light painted rocks to composite on top of the 8 image stack. All 9 images were same exact composition on the tripod.

Really nice colour in these. My sky shots always seem so washed out in comparison

Just got back from Utah this past weekend. Despite Arches being closed during the night which blew up my plans for the week, it's still an incredible area filled with endless photographic possibilities. And the skies are wicked dark.

A few from a weekend trip up to the family cabin near Stanley, Idaho, the aurora display that weekend was incredible, first time I've ever seen and imaged it.

This one was tough with clouds/smoke and moonlight getting in the way.

Does anyone have samples from a 5d (the first version)? Planning on getting that plus a rokinon 24mm and maybe a mount like a vixen polarie, or whatever is new now. Have been out of photography for almost 2 years now.

Here is a test shot I ran with my 5D and a Rokinon 14mm 2.8.

The 5D tends to struggle a bit at the higher ISO's. But it is manageable.

If you wind up tossing it on a tracker, then you can enjoy those lower ISO's.

The biggest drawback in my opinion, is the lack of Live View. When using a wide, manual lens, I found focusing difficult.

This was at ISO 3200.

Just my 2ยข.

Resume party. :-)
