What a cool lens. They are going for a great price, so I might buy one to see what creative effects I can make with it.

I really liked the landscape shots that someone took with it of the tree.

Does anyone who posted in this thread want to let their 135mm f/2.8 soft focus lens go?

I recently got this lens, so I'm going to post sample photos soon.

So far, I can tell it is a steal of a deal in terms of price and quality of the images it takes. I love it.

The trick with the soft focus is to dial it to around f/4 of f/5.6. The soft focus is too strong at f/2.8.

I just got this lens on April 4th didn't get to test much today but wow I love this lens and because of Blackrainbow's work I lusted after it since he started the thread. Here's my rather annoyed cat as a test shot. Shot at 2.8 crazy sharp. Love this lens and hope to post more of my samples! Also forgive the grain, I was shooting in my basement where she hangs out and it's rather dark even with all the lights on.

thought a compairson of soft focus would be a good idea. Both shot wide open.

And here's soft focus mode 2. I love this lens and have been looking for more soft focus lenses at different focal lengths because of how much I am loving this lens and what it can do. It has made photography fun for me again!

Was taking some shots of my mom's 2009 Volkswagen 'Blush' Beetle. I thought the soft focus would be cool to use on it and I was right.

Took this on a walk the other day! I used one of the soft focus modes. Just experimenting to see what I like and what uses I can get out of this lens and it is fast becoming my favourite lens.

Sorry if it seems like I'm spamming this thread. But some more work (until I can get a portrait shoot going at least)

So I have been playing around with the soft focus effect trying to figure out what will make it look nicest. And as you can see in the shot below it's soft focus but also sharp in the right spot in these photos. The trick is to under expose for the ones where you intend to use soft focus. I was about 2/3rds of a stop under in the shot with the soft focus and then pushed the exposure up a little in post and it was pretty sharp.
