Most flashes use infrared beams as an AF assist light. It seems that the F45RM uses an LED light as an AF assist beam and that its enabled with that update.

A bigger deal is that it appears that lenses will now focus wide open instead of stopped down. This is huge because focusing stopped down when its dark (i.e. studio) has been a PITA before.

This seems to be one of those "sony is listening to their customers!" firmware updates. It really seems like they have people reading angry rants on forums lol

Focusing stopped down is only partially true. When light levels low enough, it will open up as needed.

- When someone with poor circulation or impaired skin sensation uses the camera

Can someone explain to me what they mean by this?

Basically the camera may get hot and people with reduced sensation in their hands could burn themselves.

I would tell him they need proof of purchase under your name...which they don't need to register gear, but will need if you get any service done.

so...if you register for pro...and need support at any time...if you bought used you are out of luck?

Cool, thanks! I'll update tonight. Looks a6500 IS be a bit improved when using video.... Rolling shutter fix? I doubt it. I wish they could make it so that thescreen would not dim when in video mode.

star eater fix is there, but I havent verified. If you're on 3.30, no reason to keep it, get 4.0.

I swear that the magnification when manual focusing seems sharper as well?

AF with A6300 style floating point, skip to 5:45:

Yes and no. The rx1rii I bought used....but it was an open box item from BH and it was covered since I had a receipt.

Not sure about something you buy third party though.
