The last time i felt i had a camera for good was when i had my 5d3... i swore id have it for yearssss..
I think i maybe hit 9 months, ..
The a7sii has many boxes checked for me .. small enough, does great video video.. and oh clean high iso videos.. as long as i expose properly i can be at iso 50,ooo and stil get acceptable rrsults.
With a small lens like my fe 28 its nice to take to a night out in the city with my gf , or a street fair or what ever situation where photos ar3 casual..and it doesnt weigh me down..or become annoying to carry like the 5d3 did
Where im not happy with it is , when AF speed becomes important , (no surprise there tho)
Af lock is unpredictable once not in good lighting .. which agian, for casual situations its fine but for those "need this moment now!" Mom3nts it has left me frustrated ..
Changing af points also kinda slow for me..
And the 12mp are becoming annoying ..
And so in comes the a6500, i originally was going to keep my a7sii and give fuji a try as well but decided to give the A6xx line a second chance for the sake of staying with one brand and being able to share lenses ..
The a6500 with its touch screen, changing af points is easy.. af tracking is quick
But the rear screen is difficult in bright sun light.
Ergonomics are not fun,, its not a fun camera to use . Takes great photos and video but not fun to use ..
I find the lack of a third dial slows me down.
Lack of proper apsc lenses
I know the perfect do it all camera doesnt exist ..
But i would like to find one camera that does things well for me , with compromises in the right places for my needs..one camera that does travel photography well, quick and easy to use for street , decent video , durable and weather resistant ..doenst have to have 50mp , twenty something is fine ..
I keep hearing lots of good things about fujis xt2,
Ive tried canon, panasonic and sony
I dont know if i could get rid of my a7sii , its low light ability
Is too good..
But i dont think it could be my only camera
Anyways.. end of my rant
