Picture of one of my mother's cats I've just come across. Sadly long gone. She could be a real spitfire, stroke her on her back at your peril!

It's great, Kim. I thought I'd never own a body that would equal or best my 5D3, but I was mistaken. Took awhile to get it set up as I've been buried at work, but now that it's pretty much there, I really do enjoy it. I finally felt comfortable enough to let my 5D3 go, which was tough, but no regrets at all. I didn't think I'd use the touch screen, but it's handy and I use it all the time. Now my 1D IV is getting ignored. I need to show that some love as well.

I decided I'm going to save up for a 1DX II. It's a lot of money and will take me around 2 more years of saving, but since I tend to concentrate on wildlife, I think that's where I want to be. I love my 1D IV but Canon has made some real progress with the 5D Mark IV and the 1DX II. I was going to get the 5D, but I think I should be able to pick up a 1D used like the one that is posted here now: $5k with a shutter count of only 1000.

I sure have seen some great photographs with the 5D IV.... tempting. We'll see. I'll have 5D money by next May...will I be able to be patient? Who knows?

This is Ash, one of our full time residents at the cat rescue and someone I've had the pleasure of photographing since he was born at the rescue
