yes I upped the expose with about +1 stop in post.
I had auto ISO maxed at 6400 these shots needed to much in lightroom, so manually I switched to 12800 to get the expose closer.

Great capture of rare animal behaviour. Here in northern Scotland we prefer the red version :)

Wandering Glider

I am not sure this is the proper thread for these images. However, without my 7dii and the 65 focus point, large zone focus and 10 fps, I would have had very few keepers from this morning's session with these elusive Dragonflies. Keeping one in the viewfinder for even 1/2 second seemed like a triumph to me. Often, one or two shots and they were gone.

I set the lens focus for 3.3 to 8 meters and EC to +1 1/3, Av at f/8, ISO 1600 gave me plenty of shutter speed. These are cropped a bit.

Not something I would try every day, but a good challenge for my limited skills and the 7dii technology. I was impressed by the focus tracking as well, case 3, all 3 parameters set to +2. Active point was not on the bug every frame, but much more often than not.

Is it swimming for a purpose or did it fall in? We saw one fall out of a tree the other day just missed going in the river but I've never seen one swim, good opportunity well taken.

The farmer out the back of our house cut the mowing grass the other day which is a treasure trove of small rodents for the birds, so chaos ensues for a couple of hours with whoever gets the prize being harangued by others for the food they are carrying.
This buzzard has a full crop and more in her talons, off in the direction of their nest, the crow is desperately trying to get what she's hanging on to

Hi Sid and thanks
It seemed to jump in on one side of the river (did not see the jump heard the splash ) then instead of turning back about 10ft it swam to the other side about 70ft so i think it meant to cross river
