If it's really great, and I hope it is, I can see selling off my Batis 18 and 25 to get the 16-35. I'd be losing a stop at 25, but would otherwise be gaining more focal length flexibility. But, it's gonna have to be nearly as sharp in the corners as the Batis lenses for me to be willing to budge.

^Right there with you on that one David. I find that the only time I want that f/2 is for astro. The rest of the time, I am usually at f/8 or smaller.

This one is from this past weekend...one of the most wild, long lasting sunsets I have ever seen...so glad I stuck around the extra night in the Highlands. 5 Image Vertical pano with lots of overlap with the B18.

Dont you think WonderPana will answer the FE 12-24 filter needs?
Well if the 12-24 sells enough to get Pana's attention.
I've still got in on a Tam 15-30 and though huge it is functional.

Of course this pic has nothing to do with that :)

We were in Utah last week...avoided the crowds as much as possible and camped (tented when we had to, hammocked when we got lucky)
in the BLM lands.
This is from one of our campsites-

I know I know, my stars aren't round. I never learned how to get sharp focus using the A7Rii :( It is much easier with the EOS kit for
me to nail stars.

Now while I was missing Poof and I had a little project. We bought a Promaster van. From the seats all the way back was bare bones metal.
We spent 2 months and 3 days and ended up with this-

I'm planning on getting a used Voigtlander Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5. What should I look out for on this lens?

Thanks

Wow excellent! I've spent the last few months converting a VW transporter panel van into a campervan and just about finished myself. Not as big inside as that but will allow me to get more photo ops out and about when out with the family. Yours looks great!

Smeared corners is the main issue. Take a test shot wide open and it should be sharp corner to corner. I got lucky first time and got a laser

I enjoyed viewing the photos documenting the progress of your Promaster conversion project. Great job!

Awesome imagery. Amazing there was so much color in the sky for such a huge stitch. Was this from Roan Mountain State Park? Did you camp?

thanks for all the replies. I planned on getting a smaller backpack that has the camera opening against my back... But like you said TMA i don't want to get so caught up with taking pictures that i miss what's going on around me. That is often something i struggle with when i am traveling. I get my camera out and then just start focusing on getting X shot when i could easily just snap a pic with my phone and then continue on enjoying everything we are going to be seeing with my wife. I presume i have some more thinking to do.

Maybe a damn question.

Do you guys remove your lens while travelling or when not in use?
